Job Title: Library and Community Engagement Officer

- Ability in the delivery of public events
- Ability to work both as a team member and independently
- Proven time management and organisational skills.
- An enthusiastic approach in the provision of Library services to meet the needs of different community groups.
- Ability in library operations
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise, consult and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Well-developed computer proficiency across a range of applications; knowledge and skills in current technology
- Ability to assist customers and staff in the use of this technology
Qualifications:
- Completed or studying the Diploma of Library and Information Services from TAFE or a related field.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol competency.
Other:
- Demonstrated understanding of WH&S and EEO principles.
- Clearance to work with children as required under the Working with Children Check.
- Current Class C vehicle licence.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake the physical requirements of the position
- Permanent full-time role working at the different Library service points and includes evening and weekend shifts.
- long service leave after 5 years
