BSBLIB402 Assessment One - Week 1 (2)
Job Title: Collections Cataloguer

Organisation: Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)

Skills:
  • A clear and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work on team based projects
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Project management skills and experience in the delivery of high priority projects within agreed timeframes with quality outcomes
  • Very high level competency in the use of computer applications

Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification – to graduate level - in museum, library, record-keeping or archives studies or related discipline essential
  • A sound knowledge of Australian sporting history
  • Experience working in a comparable role within the heritage sector
  • Experience working with Vernon CMS, Softlink Liberty or equivalent collection management system
  • Experience in appropriate manual handling procedures for library, archives, museum or fine art objects, and a demonstrated high level of competency and attention to detail when undertaking physical tasks

Other: 
  • Ability to lift heavy items and work at height
  • A demonstrated appreciation of the heritage of the MCC and MCG
  • A demonstrated commitment to MCC values (people, heritage, respect, excellence)
  • 12 month fixed term contract
